We combine deep knowledge of industries and geographies with breadth of experience and we are dedicated to singular goal: optimising our clients’ farm business profitability through optimal animal health and welfare. Together, we guide the AHV International branches and offices in a variety of markets.
The introduction of Animal Health Vision solutions has already led to numerous livestock farms switching over to the AHV platform. Our innovative solutions are used by over 6,500 livestock farmers and veterinarians internationally.
Jan de Rooy
Chief Executive Officer
Since the start of AHV International, Jan de Rooy has been involved with the company. Jan graduated as an Msc and also owns two bachelor degrees.
Driven and determined, he works daily on his goal: to introduce the concept and solutions of AHV International to livestock farmers all over the world, and build a multinational platform with AHV.

Founder, Chief Scientific Officer
As a veterinarian Gertjan Streefland already experienced years ago that there were less and less good resources available for our animals. While studying microbiology, he came across the fact that bacteria are able to ‘talk’ to each other. This biochemical communication enables them to become active or inactive as a group. With AHV, we have succeeded in developing a broad range of innovative solutions from a new approach.

Chief Finance Officer
Tiemen Dalhuisen has been working at AHV International as CFO since May, 2020. In this role, Tiemen is co-responsible for the further growth of AHV, leading Business Control, the Shared Service Center, Credit Control and HR.
Tiemen grew up on a farm and has more than 10 years of experience as an accountant; he has worked in the Netherlands and the United States for Nutreco, and has also worked for ForFarmers, PWC and Protix.

Lex de Boer
Since August 2020, Lex works as Chief Innovation at AHV International. His role within this position is to manage the R&D department and to monitor AHV’s patent portfolio.
Lex has a lot of work experience in biotechnology. His career started from biotechnology in industry. He moved from industry to agriculture, focusing on the application of microorganisms in agriculture and horticulture. From agriculture and horticulture he switched to AHV and focused on the control of harmful microbes in animal husbandry. Lex previously worked at Gist-brocades, DSM, Heineken Groen Agro Control and Biotech Microbials B.V.

Emile van de Vegte
Being responsible for financial growth and plans for our international offices, Emile has made a significant contribution to the development of the company. He started as financial manager in February 2018 and has grown into the role of Business Controller.
Emile graduated as an Accountant and has previously worked as an assistant accountant.

Arun van Loveren
Arun is a versatile creative director, overseeing AHV’s marketing, brand & creative and compliance departments. He focuses on the brand development of AHV and its innovations in the field of communication and marketing tools, as well as curating and directing the presentation of AHV to clients, stakeholders and the public domain.
Arun is relatively young, but has more than 20 years of experience in the area of creativity, advertising and branding, ranging from international B2C to B2B markets.

Managing Director - UK & Ireland
Since the opening of the UK&IR office, Adam has been the Managing Director here. Adam has extensive experience in the agriculture industry. He has worked at Animal Nutrition and worked for Ballance Agri Nutrients in New Zealand for 5 years.
Adam’s role is to grow with the company in the agricultural industry, with a focus on dairy. He is also responsible for educating farmers on our highly innovative products.

Managing Director - North America
Scott Woodside joined AHV in March, 2020 as the Managing Director for AHV North America.
Prior to joining AHV, he served as the Global Category Manager of Feed & Farm at Danone Group, working on the empowerment of its farmers network with relevant innovations to optimise performance. Scott has also worked for Cargill Animal Nutrition in the past.

Managing Director - France
Since May Gaël started at AHV as Managing Director for our French office. He is responsible for running this branch.
Gaël already has a lot of experience in the agricultural industry and with supplementary animal feed. He worked for Hypred as sales manager and later as director in Canada for the North American market. Gaël has also worked for Groupe Cooperatif Le Gouessant as Director of the Minerals and Nutritional Supplements Division.

Managing Director - Adria
Oliver has been working as Managing Director for the Adriatic office in Croatia since January, 2020. His responsibilities are to create presence, growth and market share in the Adriatic Region.
Prior to his career at AHV, Oliver successfully launched a variety of start-ups and has worked at companies in new markets.

Managing Director - Germany
In May 2020 Dirk Ulrich joined the AHV International organization as the Managing Director for our branch office in Münich, Germany.
Dirk has over 14 years of experience in leading positions in the agriculture and telecommunication industry.
Since February 2020 Erwin works at the R&D department at AHV. Erwin has a lot of experience as a researcher. At AHV he is mainly involved in setting up and coordinating research. Supervising compositions, managing and supervising active substances.
Erwin previously worked at PolyVation as a Research Scientist and as a PhD researcher at the University of Twente.

Since March 2020, Shaista has been working at AHV International as Lead Scientist. As Lead Scientist, Shaista is responsible for the developments within AHV at the modelling level which can lead to biological activities.
Before this, Shaista gained a lot of work experience in the pharma industry and at universities. From normal scientist to lead scientist, Shaista has worked at companies such as Neem Biotech Limited, Eurofins and Solvay.

Sales Director - NL & BE
Anne Bosma joined AHV in April 2019 as Sales Director Netherlands & Belgium. Anne grew up between the dairy and meat cows and studied at a higher agricultural school. He has a lot of experience in managerial positions within the agricultural sector.
“My passion is to help agricultural entrepreneurs improve their business. I love to see how well we work with farmers to optimise animal health, thanks to the AHV Solutions. Healthy, productive animals that last a long time and satisfied farmers make me happy.”
DVM, Senior Director - Pigs & Poultry
Nils Henke joined AHV International in September 2020 as Senior Director Animal Health Pigs & Poultry. He is responsible for setting up this animal segment for AHV. His tasks include product development, business development and building a new distribution network. Nils is also ultimately responsible for the marketing and sales of the products.
Previously, Nils worked as a veterinarian at MSD Animal Health in England. He has also worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, IDT Biologika and Ceva Santa Animale.
Country Manager - Ireland
George joined AHV in March 2020. George is Sales Manager for the Republic of Ireland. He primarily focuses on educating, motivating and mentoring the sales advisors. Additionally, getting out and speaking with farmers about our products is high on his responsibility list.
George grew op on a farm and worked in the Agri sales for 5 years. Agriculture has always been a part of him and a part of his life.

Our team are both individually and collectively committed to delivering this. We are seeing growth within the Irish market that shows how well AHV is being received within the farming community.”
Country Manager - Northern Ireland
Since December 2018 Paul is Sales manager at AHV UK & Northern Ireland. He oversees the sales advisors in this area and offers technical support to both our sales advisors and farmers. Paul has always been involved in the agriculture industry. He is qualified as an agriculture engineer from City & Guids. Before that Paul worked with Genus ABS.
Amber van Ark
Office Manager - Netherlands & Belgium
Amber joined AHV International in July, 2019. Amber works as Office Manager at headquarters & Manager Human Resources for the entire organization and is responsible for the entire office management.
Prior to joining AHV, Amber has worked at ABN AMRO for 4 years.

Business Development - Adria
Karla has been working at AHV since January 2020. Karla is responsible for business development, building and maintaining relationship with clients. She also helps with achieving long-term organizational strategic goals and is working with the internal team, marketing staff and managers to increase sales opportunities. She is also responsible for coordination of all AHV Adria offices.

Country Manager - Serbia
Strahinja joined AHV in 2020 as Country Manager of Serbia. His responsibilities are managing the operations, resarching the country and ensuring the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business.
Strahinja also takes on negotiating with key account customers and investigating and identifying new growth opportunities. Prior to this, Strahinja has worked for several international companies.
General Manager - Hungary
Since July 2020 Csaba works at AHV as General Manager for AHV Hungary. He is responsible for opening and building new AHV markets in Romania, Bulgaria, Czech R. Poland, and Ukraine.
Previously Csaba worked as an agricultural engineer and has worked in animal nutrition for more than 20 years, managing 13 countries in Europe as Regional Director in a multinational company.

DVM, Sales Director - Croatia
Since January, Vinko has been working as sales manager for AHV Adria. He is directly responsible for sales in Croatia and Slovenia. Vinko is responsible for the transfer of knowledge about AHV Solutions to all team members while managing intellectual capital and being custodian of knowledge management practices in the firm.
For this Vinko has for 10 years as a field veterinarian in the Veterinary station in Zaprešić, Croatia and he was CEO of the same station for the same period of the time.

Japkje Ine Koning
Online Marketing Manager
Japkje Ine Koning joined AHV International in 2019 and took on the role of growing the AHV brand through its online channels. After her thesis research on AHV’s brand image, and graduating in the summer of 2020, she joined AHV on a full-time basis and continues to oversee and manage an international team and AHV’s collection of native channels.
Hailing from the beautiful province of Friesland in The Netherlands, she grew up on a farm. She studied Business Economy at Windesheim University of Applied Science in Zwolle, The Netherlands.
