How to achieve an optimal transition period for your herd

It is no secret that the transition period is the most important period in a lactating cows lifecycle. 3 weeks prior to calving, right through to 3 weeks post calving, cows will undergo major changes and challenges as they dry-off, calve and re-enter the milking herd.
