AHV Salmo Transfer
The ingredients in AHV Salmo Transfer work synergistically to prevent biofilm formation, supporting fish health and performance. Additionally, its immune-boosting properties enhance the fish’s natural defence mechanisms, aiding their adaptation to a new environment.
AHV Salmo Transfer includes osmoregulators that assist in the crucial osmotic adaptation process, ensuring a smoother transition for salmonids from freshwater to seawater, minimising stress, and optimizing their overall well-being.
Why the AHV Transfer?
During the production cycle, one of the most physiologically challenging periods for salmonids is the transfer from freshwater to seawater. During this critical period, fish undergo systemic changes (smoltification) in preparation for the high osmotic pressure in seawater. These changes also induce stress and impact the immune system of the fish, making them more susceptible to health challenges, reducing performance, and can lead to mortality (Morera et al., 2021).
Working mechanism and mode of action
AHV Salmo Transfer is specially formulated for enhance the overall well-being of fish undergoing the stressful period after transfer to seawater. It contains carefully selected ingredients that effectively disrupt bacterial Quorum Sensing (QS) communication by blocking the development, attachment, and biofilm formation. It enhances the immune response of fish, promotes a healthy gut microbiome and efficient tissue blood flow.
The ingredients in AHV Salmo Transfer work synergistically disrupting biofilm formation, causing existing biofilms to break open, leaving the bacteria unprotected for the immune system. Furthermore, the immune-boosting property supports the fish’s natural defense mechanism helping fish to clear the released bacteria, mount a protective immune response and improve overall well-being. One differential aspect of AHV Salmo Transfer is its inclusion of osmoregulators, which aid in the crucial process of osmotic adaptation. This help to ensures a smoother transfer for salmonids as they move from freshwater to seawater, minimizing stress and optimizing their overall well-being.
How to use AHV Salmo Transfer?
AHV Salmo Transfer is to be administered orally blended with the feed. Use from transfer to seawater for at least 4 weeks for maximum support of the health and performance of smolt. Use 2,5 to 4 kg/ton at least 4 weeks after transfer.
AHV Salmo Transfer is available in 10kg bags
