AHV StartLac Tablet and Paste are dietetic feeds for dairy cows and can be used for the reduction of the risk of milk fever and subclinical hypocalcaemia.
StartLac provides high quality calcium, phosphorus and magnesium support specially tailored to the mineral demands of the transitioning dairy cow.
Enriched with Vitamin D3 to facilitate absorption, StartLac supports muscle contraction, milk production and promotes the metabolism.
It contains a natural form of calcium, with 90% uptake rates in the body.

Administering AHV StartLac
AHV StartLac Tablet
AHV StartLac Tablet is provided orally using a tablet applicator. Box contains 10 individually wrapped tablets.
Proactive Transition Support – Recommended
Administer 2 tablets after calving.
Administer after feeding or after the cow has been allowed to stand for 15 minutes, to avoid regurgitation.
AHV StartLac Paste
AHV StartLac Paste is part of the Transition and Uterine Health & Fertility Program.
AHV StartLac Paste is applied orally, using a paste applicator, which makes administration easy. Before administration, remove the cap from the paste.
Administer the contents of 1 tube per day and per animal orally. Apply AHV StartLac Paste immediately after calving.

Dairy farmers’ experiences with StartLac
Once the cow has calved down, I give AHV Booster, Metri, and StartLac Paste, and the results have been great – no dirty cows and zero post-calving issues, which has made things run much more smoothly. Moving forward, I plan to add the AHV Booster Tablet after calving to improve milk production in the next lactation.
We found that it’s helping with conception rates and reducing the amount of subclinical and clinical milk fever in the first couple of days of calving. We couldn’t recommend it enough here, it’s working for us daily and we’re very happy with the progress.
