MODE OF ACTION

AHV Booster is a complementary feed designed to support the cows metabolism and energy balance.

It promotes liver and rumen function, helping cows and calves more effectively absorb and convert nutrients from their diet.

By improving metabolic efficiency, AHV Booster helps lower the risk of ketosis and supports consistent feed intake, milk production, as well as overall health and performance.

Significant Effect of Booster Tablet on Ketosis
University of Minnesota, 2023.

A study was done on two dairy farms to see the effect of Booster Tablet around calving. The bolus was given to 165 cows before calving. The control group consisted of 160 cows.

The objective was to determine whether Booster reduces the risk of subclinical or clinical ketosis, based on BHB levels in the blood — a key indicator of cow health after calving.
Blood samples were taken one week post-calving. Cows that received the Booster Tablet prior to calving showed lower BHB levels (0.70 mmol/L) compared to the control group (0.77 mmol/L), representing a 34% reduction in ketosis risk.

Further field trials across France, UK and Ireland including 13 farms and 348 cows showed that cows receiving Booster:

  • Produced 2-4 KG more during the first 100 days in lactation
  • Spent 13 hours longer ruminating
  • Showed improved fertility — with a 15% higher in-calf rate and a 7-day reduction in days open
