Higher conception rates and better milk quality with the AHV Longevity Plan
Meet Stephen Morrison, a County Antrim Dairy Farmer who currently milks 220 Pedigree Holstein cows and runs an all year round calving system. Stephen runs a high-yielding herd so the focus on his farm is to produce a more productive, profitable, healthier cow.
The Journey From Treating Cows Reactively to Proactively
Stephen became involved with AHV in the Spring of 2019. He was reactively using the Extra Tablets to cleanse the udder on younger cows and had been seeing great results.

“AHV has supported us by using the MPR file which collects the data from the milk recording. It tells us what cows to bolus and then we can benchmark the results afterwards. Our Consultant James is always on the end of the phone and is very helpful with any questions you have. He’s never too far away if you need anything.”
Reaping the benefits
Despite the financial struggle many farmers faced this year, Stephen continues to use AHV Solutions on his farm. “Even though it’s been a difficult financial year we are still using AHV as the cows are reaping the benefits from it.”
“Would I recommend AHV to other farmers? For me, I would as it’s had a positive effect and helped cow health on my own farm. For the future we want to continue producing healthier cows that are lasting longer with better milk quality and with AHV we hope to be able to do that.”
