In order to sell our products, offer and provide our services and process job applications, AHV processes certain personal data. AHV takes your privacy very seriously and will treat all your personal information with the utmost care. In this privacy statement, we would like to inform you about our processing of personal data. 1. Who will process my personal data and how do I contact AHV?
The party responsible for the processing of personal data is AHV International B.V., which has its registered office at Schokkerweg 10, 8042 PC Zwolle, the Netherlands (“AHV”). AHV functions as the data controller within the AHV group, which comprises AHV International B.V. (the parent company) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, excluding AHV Deutschland GmbH which has its own privacy statement. As such, AHV determines the goal and the means of all data processing and acts as the responsible party under whose authority the operational data processing takes place.

2. What personal data does AHV process, for what reason and on what legal basis?
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as a name, email address, telephone number etc. Our purpose for the processing activities that we conduct with personal data is the possibility to communicate with our (potential) relations and to perform our obligations under an existing agreement.
Website visitors
When you visit the website of AHV, AHV may process your personal data. You are able to reach out to us via the online contact form on the website, or by sending an email to info@ahvint.com or any other email address of our international departments as disclosed on our website. We shall process your name, telephone number and/or email address, based on AHV’s legitimate interest. We process this personal data in order to provide you with a response within a short notice.
In order to provide a functional website, we use cookie technology to collect website usage data. For more information regarding the type of personal data that is being processed through cookies, please see paragraph 8 of this privacy statement. For most cookies, AHV has a legitimate interest to process your personal data in order to improve the functionality of the website. If required by law, AHV shall request your consent for placing specific cookies that will track your behaviour on the website.
Applicants
On the AHV website, it is possible to apply for job positions. AHV processes applicant data exclusively for the purpose and within the scope of the application procedure. We process your personal data to fulfil our legitimate interest. The application procedure requires that applicants fill out certain personal details as well as provide AHV with documents belonging to the application, such as cover letter, CV and certificates. The personal data we may process for applicants includes, but is not limited to, the following: name, gender, birth date, address, postcode, city, private phone number, private email address, and other personal information regarding interests and former job positions. In addition, applicants can voluntarily provide us with additional information, for example by including such information on their CV. If AHV approaches candidates via LinkedIn, personal data that is available on the LinkedIn profile of the candidate may be processed by AHV (for example, name, region, current employer, phone number), but only if the candidate provides such data him- or herself.
At AHV, we use Workable, a recruitment platform, to streamline our hiring process. This helps us find new employees or students for job positions in an effective and efficient manner.
In the event of a successful application, the personal data provided by the applicant may be processed by AHV for the purposes of the employment relationship. Otherwise, if the application for a job offer is not successful, the applicants’ data will be deleted in accordance with the content of paragraph 5 of this privacy statement. The applicants’ data will also be deleted if an application is withdrawn, which the applicant is entitled to do at any time.
AHV customers
AHV processes personal data of its customers in order to deliver the requested products and/or to perform the services under the agreement between AHV and the customer, whether or not through the AHV webshop. The personal data might include: name of the farm, name of the main representative of the farm, shipping and billing address.
In addition to this, AHV may use the FarmTrace Platform (Farmbx, Inc.) through which you as our customer and AHV as the advisor can access the farmer data and gain in-depth insights about your business and your products. For these insights, the FarmTrace Platform is connected to your IT systems. With this, AHV receives access to your farm data in order to provide tailor-made advice. You will be asked to give your consent prior to the use of the FarmTrace Platform and you are able to withdraw this consent at any time. AHV and the FarmTrace Platform will process the following personal data: name(s) of the main representative(s) of the farm and contact details including address.
Communication
AHV would like to keep you informed on developments in its products and services. AHV is able to inform you when the services change or are updated, only after you have given your consent to receive our newsletters and/or marketing emails. Our marketing emails can contain information on new offers, AHV services or products. Newsletters will have general content with regards to interesting developments within AHV, our market segment or at our partners. AHV customers will receive a request to opt-in for such communication at the first order and on other occasions such as when registering for an AHV webshop. For such communication, AHV will process name, email address, farm address and phone number of each customer. If at any point you no longer wish to receive communication from AHV, you can click the unsubscribe button that is in all our communication, or you can reach out to us via info@ahvint.com.
3. In what cases would AHV disclose my personal data to third parties?
In the course of AHV’s business activities, it may happen that your personal data is transferred to or disclosed to a subsidiary of AHV International B.V. or disclosed to other legal entities providing services to AHV (e.g. payment institutions for transactions, service providers commissioned with IT tasks).
AHV International B.V. may transfer your personal data to a subsidiary or grant them access to such data. Such transfer or access right is solely carried out if it is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations under an agreement, or if the consent of the data subject concerned has been obtained. In case of service providers, the involved service providers will process your personal data on behalf of AHV. The processing by service providers is subject to a processing agreement by which AHV has ensured that the service provider will process the personal data in accordance with AHV’s instructions and the applicable law.
In order to comply with EU legislation on data protection in the event of international data transfers, for the most part the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), AHV allows service providers outside of the EEA to process your personal data only if AHV and the service provider have concluded a contract containing the model contract clauses laid down by the European Commission, thereby ensuring that appropriate data protection safeguards are in place.
Examples of service providers with which AHV shares data for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by AHV or after having received your consent, namely to provide the services to you, are:
- Constant Contact, for sending newsletters and marketing emails.
- Exact globe, for AHV’s financial administration invoicing customers and paying suppliers.
- FarmBX Inc., for providing tailor-made advise using the FarmTrace Platform.
- Microsoft Cloud Services, for document storage and management, sending emails, exchanging documents with specific recipients and participating in audio and video conferences.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud, for sending newsletters and marketing emails.
- Salesforce, for administration of AHV’s customers and leads.
- Workable, for administration of AHV’s recruitment process.
Aside from our website, we are also active on a number of social networks. If you visit us there, your personal data may be forwarded to the relevant social network. It is possible that the data you entered specifically in the social network, as well as other information, are collected, analysed and used by the provider of that social network.
If you are logged into your personal social network account while you visit our website, the social network will be able to link your visit to your account. The same goes when you are logged into your personal social network account while you visit our social media pages. If you do not want this link to be made, you must log out of your social network and delete your cookies before you visit our website. You can usually also withdraw your consent to use your data for advertising purposes in the account settings of the social network. If you are not a member of a social network, social networks may still store your IP address.
4. What are my rights?
You have a number of rights relating to your personal data and their processing under the GDPR:
- You have the right to have AHV confirm whether or not your personal data are being processed, and, if that is the case, you have the right to access your personal data and additional information on the processing of your personal data;
- You have the right to have AHV rectify inaccurate personal data;
- You have the right to have AHV erase your personal data (the right to be forgotten);
- In some cases, you have the right to have AHV restrict the processing of your personal data, for example if you have contested the accuracy of your personal data;
- You have the right to receive upon request your personal data which you have provided to AHV, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transfer those data to another controller where the processing is based on your consent or on a contract;
- You have the right to object to the processing of personal data on the basis of the legitimate interests pursued by AHV. In that case, AHV will no longer process the personal data unless AHV demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or that relate to the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
- Where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the legitimacy of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.
AHV will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days after receipt of the request. This period may be extended by two months, depending on the complexity and number of the requests. AHV will inform you within 30 days after receipt of the request whether such an extension will be applied, stating the reason for the delay.
If AHV takes no action further to your request, AHV will inform you as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days after receipt of the request, of the reasons why it is taking no action. In that case, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority and to appeal to the courts.
5. How long does AHV store my personal data?
Your personal data will be stored no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is collected, unless otherwise required by law. If you have given us your consent to process personal data, AHV will cease to process your personal data as soon as you have withdrawn your consent.
AHV will process the personal data of customers for the term of the agreement/business relationship and for at least two years thereafter.
For website visitors who reach out to AHV by sending an email to the info@ahvint.com email and any disclosed email addresses of our international departments, AHV will delete your personal data within six months after responding to your question and/or after finalising the following up on an investigation for a potential business relationship.
For applicants sending information (including personal data) to AHV during an application procedure, the personal data will be deleted twelve months after the application procedure has been completed in case AHV does not enter into an employment agreement with such applicant.
6. How does AHV protect my personal data?
The protection of your personal data is very important to AHV. That is why AHV uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, destruction or modification. We periodically review our systems and/or software to determine whether our security measures are still adequate.
7. Can this privacy statement be changed?
Our privacy statement will be updated regularly. The most recent version will be available on this website and at request.
8. What are cookies and how does AHV use them?
While you are using the website of AHV or any of its local subsidiaries, various cookies will be stored on your computer, mobile device and/or tablet (“Devices”) from where they can be accessed.
