StopLac
Facilitates abrupt dry-off by naturally reducing milk production
For cows, the transition can lead to stress and increased udder pressure, which in turn increases the risk of milk leakage and bacterial contamination.
The AHV StopLac Bolus has been developed to support dairy cows during the dry period. Its mode of action is based on temporarily modifying rumen fermentation.
By reducing milk production, StopLac helps relieve udder pressure, improving the cow’s comfort after drying off. This promotes an optimal dry period, which benefits udder health and provides operational ease.

Benefits

Temporarily reduces milk production
Less udder engorgement and milk leakage after dry-off
Improves udder and metabolic health during the entire transition period
Operational ease, parlor efficiency

Backed by Science, Trusted in the Field
Recent field trials in the USA including 2 farms and 404 cows (233 AHV, 171 Control) showed that cows receiving StopLac at dry-off had:
- 70% difference in milk leakage after dry-off
- 6.7 lbs difference per day in milk production (100DIM average)
- 47% difference in death losses (60DIM)
Compared to the control group.
