Research results AHV Metri Bolus and AHV Aspi
In a 367-cow trial on a U.S. dairy farm, the effectiveness of the AHV Metri Bolus and AHV Aspi was investigated through measuring increased milk production, a decrease in uterine health challenges (concerning uterine hygiene and release of the placenta) and an improvement of reproduction by applying the two products at calving.
Trial setup
AHV-group: 158 cows
Control group: 209 cows
The groups were split by sire and previous service sire, depending if the cow was sired by a Holstein or non-Holstein and whether the animal was pregnant through sexed Holstein semen of beef semen.

Conclusion
In all groups, a reduction of more than 50% of strong uterine health challenges was seen, with most groups having a 2.5 lbs daily milk increase.
Experiences of dairy farmers
“We are very excited about the AHV Metri Bolus, it makes the afterbirth come off easier and it works superbly. The cow stands up more easily and shows draft earlier. I think that is one of the most important things for my cows.”

Proactive support around calving and start of lacation
The AHV Transition Program focuses on the period before and after calving and ensures sufficient energy and minerals and stimulates dry matter intake. This program connects excellently with the AHV Uterine Health Program to fully support the recently calved cow and allow her to restart the reproductive cycle in the best way possible.
